Language Objective: Students will act out and film satirical news segments.
1.) iPad and iMovie training by Ms. Wyness
If you missed today, here is a basic tutorial for iMovie: iMovie Tutorial
2.) Go over Satirical News Video Rubric: There should be 2-3 people in your group. Choose something that you think "must go" and figure out a way to show (with evidence!) why this is a problem and what your proposed solution is. Remember that your solution has to make sense and that you will have to make up "fake" evidence about why your solution is going to work and why you are experts in this area. Finally, make sure your video is well edited (you can splice in images, text, music etc. if you want to) and that you are using at least one example of irony, sarcasm, hyperbole, and understatement in your video. (Check your vocab if you forgot what these mean!)
Your video should be at least 3 minutes long.
3.) Start filming your satirical news segments.
Due Date: You will have the entire next period to finish filming and editing your video. We will view and critique videos on Tuesday, November 26 (A-Day) and Monday, December 2 (B-Day).
Make sure you get all of your filming and editing done during class - be here to help your group out!
